Pakistani ‘Aaloo Anday’ song pokes fun at Kasab

Lahore based rock band Beygairat Brigade’s (Shame Brigade) song Aaloo Andey has gone viral on the internet for its biting sarcasm and political commentary.

Band members Ali Aftab Saeed, Daniyal Malik and Hamza Malik poke fun in the preppy video at Pakistan’s military establishment, from Ashfaq Kayani to Zia-ul-Haq, Nawaz Sharif to Imran Khan.

The anti-establishment song is one in a list of many such bands coming up in Pakistan lambasting the leaders and the policies. Aaloo Andey (three young boys dressed in school uniform complaining about their home-cooked meal of potatoes and egg curry) uses dour humour to expresses dissent on several issues.
